Deal 5 cards to each player for their hand. Place them faceup in a row in front of the player so that all cards are visible.
Deal 15 cards to each player for their draw pile. Stack them in a single pile next to the hand.
Two stacks of five cards, placed face down on each side between the players, serve as the "Pull Piles".
Finally, two cards are placed face down in the center between the replacement piles. These are the "Play Piles".
To start the game, each player flips a "Play Pile" card in the middle.
You may play a card from your hand onto a "Play Pile" if it is one rank higher or lower than the top card.
A 5 can be played on a 6 or 4. A Queen can be played on a King or Jack.
A 2 may be played on an Ace, and an Ace may be played on a 2.
You will need to play fast because both players are playing on the same "Play Piles".
You may have up to 5 cards in your hand at a single time. When you have less than 5 cards in your hand you may draw from your "Draw Pile".
If neither player can play a card, flip one card from each "Pull Pile" onto the "Play Piles".
The first player to play all of their cards wins the game.
